8" x 500' 6 mil Pink Anti-Static Poly Tubing

This 8" x 500' 6 mil pink anti-static poly tubing is a static-dissipative LDPE tube on a roll: cut it to any length and seal the ends to make anti-static bags that fit your parts. At 6 mil, it's our heaviest anti-static tubing, for heavy, sharp or bulky electronic equipment.

The film is virgin LDPE with an antistatic agent built into the resin, tinted pink for easy identification. It's amine-free, so it won't attack polycarbonate parts or boards, and silicone-free. Per the manufacturer's data sheet, surface resistivity is about 10¹¹ ohms per square and static decay is under 0.25 seconds (tested at 20% relative humidity, 70°F). It complies with RoHS 3, REACH and California Prop 65, and with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520. One 500' roll makes about 500 bags 12" long, or 250 bags 24" long.

Sizing: 8" is the flat width of the tube, so the finished bag is 8" wide and as long as you cut it. For boards and thicker parts, choose a width of at least the part's width plus its thickness.

Anti-static, not shielding: pink anti-static film keeps the bag itself from building up a static charge. It does not block an outside electrostatic discharge the way a Faraday cage does. For the most sensitive components, use static shielding bags.
