How to Choose a Zip Top Bag Size
Zip top bags are listed as width x length, measured on the outside, with the zipper across the width. The zipper and lip use part of the length, so choose a bag a little longer than you would for a flat bag. For thicker items, the bag width should be at least the item's width plus its depth.

Zip Top vs. Flat and Other Reclosable Bags
If the bag doesn't need to reopen, flat poly bags cost less. For labeling contents, use white block reclosable bags with a write-on panel. For peg displays, use reclosable hang hole bags.
